Nice beach and the water seemed very calm here. We didn't stay long as we had the road back to take from Hana and didn't want to do it in the dark.
Great beach and not touristy. Very soft sand and medium sized waves for swimming, boogie boarding, and surfing. Fairly easy parking too. Would recommend
Beautiful and smooth beach popular with locals and tourists. Seems very good for families with children, as it has moderate waves and is somewhat protected from the sea. Parking is on the road above the beach, and access is via a path down from the road. Porta potties help keep the area clean.
Very nice black sanded beach. Quiet and surprisingly free and don't need reservations. Porta potties only. There is an outdoor shower and a number of trees and pavilion area for shade. Parallel parking available at the top, but be considerate to the people that live there.
Great black sand beach with fine, soft sand. The waves were perfect strength for swimming and boogie boarding the days we went.
Gorgeous beach, incredibly soft sand and crystal clear water. Easy parking and lots of space.
Great stop at the end of the main Road to Hana path.
We had to parallel park to get a parking spot. However, we did find a shaded spot on the beach to set up chairs and a cooler. The waves were definitely bigger here than on other beaches in Maui. The sand was somewhat more…gray? All in all, a nice little beach and a relaxing swim.
Do you like going to a beach where the beach is dirt? Then you'll love this. This little cove of a beach is crowded which is odd considering how hard it would be to make a trip here. There's just too many other options in Hana to be at this particular beach and sorry, not sorry, it just felt like a big dirty lake beach.
If you're doing the road to Hana. Pull over, get the shot over the beach (it's beautiful from afar) and then move on to the next stop.
